Shipping & Delivery

Last updated:

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how Field and Reel prints, packs and delivers your order, what shipping costs, how long it usually takes to reach you and what we do when a parcel runs into trouble on the way. It applies to every order placed on fieldandreel.com. Every shirt, hoodie and mug in our shop is made to order, so the timeline has two parts: the time it takes to print your item, and the time the carrier needs to bring it to your door. If you have a question this page does not answer, email [email protected] and we will reply within 1 business day.

Shipping at a glance

  • Printing time: 2–5 business days after your order is confirmed.
  • Where we ship: the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Shipping cost: free on every order to those four countries, with no minimum order and no coupon needed.
  • Typical delivery: 5–12 business days in total to the US, 8–17 business days in total to Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Tracking: a tracking link is emailed when your parcel leaves the print facility.
  • Problems in transit: lost, late or damaged parcels are replaced or refunded in full.

1. Why your order needs printing time

We do not keep shelves of finished shirts. When you place an order, your chosen design is printed onto the garment or item you selected, in the colour and size you picked, and then checked and packed. This is what lets us offer many designs, colours and sizes without throwing away unsold stock, and it is also why your order needs a few days before it ships.

Printing normally takes 2–5 business days after your order is confirmed. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding US public holidays. An order placed on a Saturday evening starts its printing clock on Monday. Personalized items follow the same timeline, but we print the name, crew name or date exactly as you typed it, so please check the spelling before you pay.

During busy weeks, such as the run-up to Father’s Day, opening weekends and the December holidays, printing can take up to two extra business days. When that happens we post a notice on the site, and if your order is affected after you have already paid, we email you.

2. Shipping costs and delivery times

Shipping is free to all four countries we serve. The free option is applied automatically at checkout, and you will see the shipping cost of $0.00 before you pay. There is no minimum order value, and you do not need a coupon code. The estimates below add printing time to the carrier’s usual transit time.

Field and Reel shipping options by destination (estimates in business days)
Destination Shipping method Cost Printing Transit Estimated total
United States Free shipping $0.00 2–5 3–7 5–12
Canada Free shipping $0.00 2–5 6–12 8–17
Australia Free shipping $0.00 2–5 6–12 8–17
New Zealand Free shipping $0.00 2–5 6–12 8–17

These are carrier estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. Remote areas, island addresses and rural routes can add a few days, and weather or carrier backlogs can slow everything down. If your parcel is well past the estimate, we step in as described in section 8.

3. Planning around a trip, a tournament or a gift date

A lot of our orders are tied to a date: a walleye tournament with the whole crew in matching shirts, a hunting trip in November, a birthday or Father’s Day. To give yourself room, we suggest ordering at least three weeks before the date for addresses in the United States and at least four weeks before the date for Canada, Australia and New Zealand. That covers printing, normal transit and a little cushion for the unexpected.

If you are ordering several shirts for a group, put them all in one order where you can. They are printed in the same batch and usually ship together, which makes it much less likely that one person ends up without a shirt on the morning of the event. If the date is close and you are not sure whether an order can make it, write to us before you order and we will give you an honest answer rather than a hopeful one.

4. Where we ship

We currently ship to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Orders are printed and shipped from the USA. We deliver to residential and business addresses. Within the United States we can usually deliver to P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses through the postal service; if checkout does not accept your address, contact us and we will check what is possible. If your address is outside these four countries, checkout will not offer a shipping method, and we are not able to complete the order.

5. Tracking your parcel

When your order leaves the print facility, we email you a tracking number and a link to the carrier’s tracking page. The first scan can take 24 to 48 hours to appear after the label is created, so a tracking page that says “label created” for a day is normal. International parcels can also go quiet for a few days while they move between the US carrier and the local carrier in your country; the tracking usually catches up once the parcel is scanned on arrival.

You can check the status of your order at any time on our Order Tracking page with your order number and the email address you used at checkout. If you did not receive a shipping email after the printing window has passed, check your spam or promotions folder first, then contact us.

6. Getting your address right

Please check your name, street address, apartment or unit number, city, state or province and ZIP or postal code before you place your order. For Australian and New Zealand addresses, include the suburb; for Canadian addresses, double-check the postal code format. Most delivery problems we see come from a missing unit number.

If you spot a mistake, email us right away. We can correct the address free of charge until the parcel is handed to the carrier; the Cancel or Change an Order page explains the timing. After the parcel ships, we will ask the carrier to redirect it, but carriers do not always accept redirects. If a parcel is returned to us because the address was incomplete or incorrect, we reship it once you confirm the correct address. If the error was ours, the reshipment is free; if the address entered at checkout was wrong, we will tell you about any reshipping cost before we send it again.

7. Orders with several items

Items in the same order usually ship together in one parcel. Sometimes items are printed on different equipment, for example a mug and a hoodie, and leave in separate parcels so that nothing waits longer than it needs to. You never pay extra for a split shipment, and you receive a tracking number for each parcel. If one parcel arrives and another does not, check your shipping emails for the second tracking number before contacting us.

8. Late, lost or stolen parcels

If tracking has not updated for 7 business days, or your parcel has not arrived 7 business days after the latest estimated delivery date in the table above, contact us with your order number. We open an investigation with the carrier for you. If the carrier confirms the parcel is lost, or the investigation is not resolved within 5 business days, we reprint and send a free replacement or give you a full refund, whichever you prefer. Refunds reach your original payment method within 7 calendar days of approval, as explained in our Refund Policy.

If tracking shows your parcel as delivered but you cannot find it, check around your property, with neighbours, building reception or the mailroom, and at your local post office. Parcels are sometimes marked delivered a day before they actually arrive. If it still has not turned up, contact us within 60 days of the delivery date and we will work with the carrier to sort it out.

9. Parcels that arrive damaged

Printed apparel travels well, but mugs and tumblers can be knocked about, and a mailer can tear. If your parcel or any item arrives damaged, keep the packaging and take photos of the outer packaging, the shipping label and the damaged item. Send them to [email protected] within 60 days of delivery. We send a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you, and in most cases you do not need to send the damaged item back. Our Returns & Exchanges Policy explains the full process.

10. Customs, duties and taxes

All prices on our site are in US dollars. Orders delivered in the United States do not involve import duties; any sales tax that applies to your order is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay. Orders delivered to Canada, Australia and New Zealand are shipped from the USA and may be charged import duties, taxes such as GST or HST, and customs handling fees by the destination country. These charges are set by your country’s authorities, are not included in our prices or our free shipping, and are paid by the recipient when the parcel arrives. Many low-value parcels pass through without any charge, but we cannot promise that for your order. If you refuse to pay the charges and the parcel is returned to us, we refund the item price once it arrives back, as explained in our Refund Policy.

11. Weather, holidays and other delays outside our control

Storms, wildfires, floods, carrier strikes and public holidays can slow down printing or transit. When a delay affects many orders, we post a notice on our site. If a delay affects your order specifically, for example because the carrier holds parcels for a region, we email you with what we know. Delays like these do not reduce your rights under this policy: if your parcel is eventually lost, the steps in section 8 still apply.

12. How your order is packed

Shirts, long sleeves and hoodies are usually shipped folded in a lightweight mailer, which keeps the parcel light and quick to deliver. Mugs and tumblers travel in protective packaging so they survive the trip. If you are sending a present straight to an angler in Canada or a hunter in Montana, enter their name and address as the shipping address at checkout and your own email as the contact, so the tracking updates come to you and the surprise is not spoiled. If anything about the packing is not right when it arrives, tell us; photos help us improve how future orders are packed.
