Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Field and Reel collects when you visit fieldandreel.com or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what choices you have. Field and Reel is operated under the trade name Fieldandreel, 6910 Scholl Road, Franklin, OH 45005, United States. We sell made-to-order apparel and gifts, so we need some information to print, ship and support your order; we try to collect no more than that. If you have a question about your information, email [email protected] and we will reply within 1 business day.

We do not send marketing emails unless you have opted in. If we add a newsletter in the future, it will be opt-in, every email will contain an unsubscribe link, and opting out will never affect order emails.

3. How we share information

We share personal information only with organisations that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:

  • Print and fulfillment partner: your name, shipping address, the items ordered and personalization text, so your order can be printed and shipped.
  • Carriers and postal services: your name, address and, where the carrier requires it for delivery updates, your email or phone number.
  • Payment providers: the payment provider shown at checkout processes your payment under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Hosting and technical providers: the companies that host our website, protect it from attacks and deliver our emails process data on our behalf.
  • Authorities: when required by law, a valid legal request, or to protect our customers or the business against fraud.
  • Business transfer: if the store is sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the new owner, who must respect this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site at the time of writing; if we add any, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Our site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the store to work: keeping items in your cart, remembering that you are logged in, protecting the checkout and remembering your cookie choices. These cookies are set by WordPress and WooCommerce, the software our store runs on, and by our security provider. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout will not work without them. We do not use cookies for advertising.

5. How long we keep information

Retention periods
Information How long we keep it
Order and payment records As long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 7 years
Personalization text and print files Until your 60-day return window has closed and any claim is settled, then deleted or anonymised
Support messages and photos Up to 2 years after the conversation ends
Account information Until you ask us to delete your account
Server logs Up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security problem

6. How we protect information

Our site uses HTTPS encryption on every page. Access to order data is limited to the people and providers who need it to run the store, admin accounts are protected by strong passwords, and the software is kept up to date. Payments are processed by the payment provider, so card numbers never pass through our systems. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive it in a portable format, object to or restrict certain uses, and withdraw consent you have given. Residents of US states with privacy laws, such as California, can also ask what categories of information we collect and confirm that we do not sell or share it. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email [email protected] from the address you used with us, with the subject “Privacy request”. We may ask for an order number to confirm your identity, and we answer within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires. Some records, such as invoices, must be kept for legal reasons even after a deletion request; in that case we keep only what is required and explain why. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the privacy authority in your country, for example the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner in New Zealand.

8. Children’s privacy

We sell youth and toddler shirts, but our store is meant to be used by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and you must be old enough to make purchases where you live to place an order. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it. When you order a personalized kids shirt, the child’s name is used only to print the shirt and is handled under the retention rules above.

9. International visitors and data transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers mainly process data in the United States. If you order from Canada, Australia or New Zealand, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. We use providers that commit to protecting personal information and process only what is needed to fulfil your order.

10. Photos and personalization you send us

When you send a photo of a damaged parcel or a misprinted shirt, we use it only to assess your claim, and, where it shows a print problem, to tell our print partner what went wrong so it does not happen again. We do not publish customer photos or personalization text, and we do not use them in marketing. If a photo you send happens to show other people, such as your fishing crew wearing their shirts, we keep it only as long as the claim requires. Please avoid sending images of identity documents, payment cards or anything else we have not asked for; if you send them by mistake, we delete them.

11. Emails we send you

Placing an order means you receive transactional emails: an order confirmation, a shipping confirmation with tracking, and messages about refunds, returns or problems with your order. These emails are part of the service, so they are sent even if you have not subscribed to anything. We never ask for your password or card number by email. If you receive a message that claims to come from Field and Reel and asks for those details, do not reply; forward it to us so we can warn other customers.

12. Third-party links

Our pages may link to carrier tracking pages, payment provider pages or other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information. Check their policies before giving them personal information.

13. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.

14. Contact us
