We keep it deliberately factual. We only describe payment options that are switched on and working in our checkout, and the checkout itself is always the final word on what is available for your order. If anything here is unclear, email support@fieldandreel.com and we will reply within 1 business day.
\n
\n
Payments at a glance
\n
\n
Accepted methods: the options shown on the checkout page for your order, provided by established payment providers.
\n
Currency: all prices and charges are in US dollars (USD).
\n
When you pay: at checkout, before your order goes to print.
\n
Security: payments are processed by the payment provider over an encrypted connection; we never see or store your full card number.
\n
Shipping: free to the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, so the total at checkout is the item price plus any applicable tax.
\n
Refunds: returned to your original payment method and received within 7 calendar days of approval.
\n
\n
\n
1. Accepted payment methods
\n
The payment options available to you are displayed in the payment section of the checkout page, after you enter your address. We use established third-party payment providers to process payments, and each option you see there is live and connected. We do not display payment logos for services we do not accept, and we do not ask you to pay by bank transfer to a personal account, by gift card, by cryptocurrency or by any method outside the checkout. If someone contacts you claiming to be from Field and Reel and asks you to pay another way, do not pay; forward the message to us.
\n
Which options appear can depend on the country of your billing address and on the payment provider’s own rules. If you were expecting an option that is not shown, or if no option works for you, email us before you give up on your order and we will tell you what we can offer.
\n
2. Currency and pricing
\n
Our prices are set and charged in US dollars. If you live in Canada, Australia or New Zealand, or if your card is issued in another currency, your bank or payment provider converts the charge into your currency at its own exchange rate, and it may add a foreign transaction fee. We do not control that rate or fee, and the amount on your statement can be slightly different from the US dollar total you saw at checkout. When a refund is issued, it is issued in US dollars and converted again by your bank, so exchange-rate movements between the purchase date and the refund date can make the converted amounts differ a little.
\n
The prices shown on product pages are for the item itself. Shipping to our four countries is free, and any sales tax that applies to your order is calculated from your delivery address and shown at checkout before you confirm. For deliveries to Canada, Australia and New Zealand, import duties and taxes may be collected by your country when the parcel arrives; they are not part of the checkout total. Our Shipping & Delivery page explains this in detail.
\n
3. When you are charged
\n
Your payment is taken when you place your order. Because every item is printed to order, we need a confirmed payment before your order enters the print queue. You receive an order confirmation email once the payment is approved. If the payment provider places a temporary authorization hold instead of an immediate charge, the hold turns into a charge when your order is accepted. If an order is cancelled before it is accepted, any hold is released by the provider; how quickly it disappears from your account depends on your bank.
\n
If you change your order within the 12-hour window and the new total is lower, we refund the difference. If the new total is higher, for example when you switch a tee to a hoodie, we ask you to pay the difference before the item is printed. Details are on the Cancel or Change an Order page.
\n
4. Payment security
\n
Every page of fieldandreel.com is served over HTTPS, so the information you enter is encrypted on its way from your device. Card and account details are entered into fields controlled by the payment provider and are processed by that provider under its own security standards. We receive only what we need to manage your order, such as confirmation that the payment succeeded, the payment method type and, for cards, sometimes the last four digits. We do not store full card numbers, security codes or online banking passwords, and nobody at Field and Reel will ever ask you for them by email, chat or phone.
\n
5. If your payment is declined
\n
A declined payment is frustrating, but it is usually easy to fix. The most common reasons are:
\n
\n
the billing address or postcode does not match the one your bank has on file;
\n
the card has expired or the security code was mistyped;
\n
your bank blocked the payment as unusual, often because it is in US dollars or from a merchant you have not used before;
\n
a daily spending limit or available balance was reached;
\n
a security check, such as a one-time code from your bank, was not completed.
\n
\n
Check the details and try again, or try another option shown at checkout. If your bank blocked the payment, a quick message or call to the bank usually clears it. We cannot see why a bank declined a payment, so the bank is the best place to ask. A declined payment does not create an order, and you are not charged. If you see a pending amount after a decline, it is usually a temporary hold that your bank releases automatically.
\n
6. Order verification
\n
To protect you and us from fraud, orders may be reviewed by our payment providers and occasionally by us. If an order is selected for a check, we may email you to confirm a detail before printing, such as the delivery address for an order where the billing and shipping countries differ. We will never ask for your full card number or password during a check. If we cannot verify an order, we cancel it and refund any payment in full, received within 7 calendar days.
\n
7. Taxes
\n
Where sales tax applies to an order delivered in the United States, it is calculated from the delivery address and shown as a separate line at checkout before you pay. Tax rules for online purchases differ by state and change over time, so the tax line can vary between addresses. For orders delivered to Canada, Australia and New Zealand, goods and services taxes and import duties are generally assessed on arrival by the destination country and collected by the carrier. If you need a receipt for your records, the order confirmation email serves as one; email us if you need a copy re-sent.
\n
8. Discount codes and store credit
\n
If a discount code is available, it can be entered in the coupon field in the cart or at checkout, and the discount is shown before you pay. Each code has its own conditions, which are stated with the offer. We do not currently sell gift cards or offer store credit as a refund method; refunds always go back to your original payment method. If that changes, this page will be updated before the option appears at checkout.
\n
9. Refunds
\n
Refunds are always returned to the payment method you used for the order, and they are received within 7 calendar days of approval. Approval happens when a returned item is inspected, when a photo claim for a damaged, defective or wrong item is accepted, when a lost parcel is confirmed, or when we confirm a cancellation. Our Refund Policy explains exactly what is refunded in each situation, and the Returns & Exchanges Policy explains how to start a return within the 60-day window.
\n
10. Disputes and chargebacks
\n
If you see a charge you do not recognise, check your email for a Field and Reel order confirmation first; our name on your statement may appear in a slightly different form chosen by the payment provider. If something is wrong with an order, contact us before opening a dispute with your bank. We can usually solve the problem in a day or two, while a dispute can take weeks. If you have already opened a dispute, let us know, and we will cooperate with the payment provider. To avoid paying you twice, we cannot issue a separate refund for an order while a dispute about it is open.
\n
11. Keep your details safe
\n
\n
Only enter payment details on the checkout page of fieldandreel.com, and check that the address bar shows a secure connection.
\n
Never send card numbers, security codes or passwords by email or in a support ticket. If you do so by mistake, tell us and we will delete the message.
\n
Be careful with messages that claim a problem with your order and ask you to click a link to “re-enter” payment details. We do not send such messages.
\n
Use a strong, unique password if you create an account, and log out on shared devices.
\n
\n
12. Paying for group and gift orders
\n
For a tournament team or a hunting camp, the simplest approach is one order paid by one person, who then collects money from the group privately. We cannot split one order across several cards. If each member prefers to pay for their own shirt, each person places a separate order with the same design. For gifts, pay with your own payment method and enter the recipient’s name and address as the delivery address and your own email address as the contact, so that payment and order emails come to you. Remember that if a gift is later returned for a refund, the refund goes back to your payment method, not to the recipient.
\n
13. Payment problems after checkout
\n
Occasionally a payment looks successful on your side but the order does not appear, for example when a browser closes during a bank security check. Before trying again, check your email for an order confirmation and your bank app for a charge or hold. If you see a charge but no confirmation, do not pay a second time; email us with the date, the amount and the last four digits of the card, and we will match the payment to your order or make sure the provider releases it. Paying twice for the same items creates two print jobs, and while we will refund the duplicate, it is easier to avoid it.
\n
14. Contact us
\n
If you have a question about a payment, a charge or a refund, email support@fieldandreel.com with your order number, or submit a ticket. We reply within 1 business day.
